Going for the Game in Game-Based-Learning with Unity

Imagine you’re playing a game..and just forget the time. Right, if you are a gamer you might think, so what…

Yet in education the experience is often far from fun and immersive. Those educational games often just “smell” too much of education. I’d love to change that. Commercial games set the standards. It is what we should aim at.

In the past I developed games in JavaScript, PHP and in tools such as Articulate Storyline. They were fine. But to up the game I have decided to work with a more professional environment: Unity and C# able to support professional quality games in 2D and 3D.

Over the next weeks I will be sharing here my journey towards professional game development with Unity supported by the fantastic GameDevHQ bootcamp under the supervision of Jonathan Weinberger.

“The Job Game” — one of my older Articulate based games where the players has to find a job.
